How to Install a Marble Fireplace Mantel Surround ?
To make sure that the floor is perfectly level and the wall is even before installation, and then mark the reference lines on the wall and floor with the pencil for the fireplace legs, headers and shelf.
Step 1, center the hearth at the firebox opening and set tight to the wall, using the construction adhesive to the under side of the hearth to make it sturdy with the floor.
Step 2,  apply construction adhesive to the back of the legs and position them in place, screw the legs to the wall using the metal strap or angle bracket.
Step 3, apply construction adhesive to the back of the inner panels and place the panel behind the fixed legs.
Step 4, apply adhesive to the fireplace header, top of the legs to ensure continuous contact with the wall.
Step 5, apply adhesive to the back surfaces of the mantel shelf and position it, wipe away any excess adhesive before it dries.
Finally, inspect for proper alignment and fill any gaps around the mantel with high-quality sealer, such as a silicone or epoxy sealant, and clean it with a damp cloth if needed.
