The White Marble Veiled Lady Bust statue, first was created by the Italian sculptor Raphaelle Monti, who came to live and work in England in 1850 and this veiled lady sculpture was accomplished in England. The original marble bust was purchased by the Duke of Devonshire and now becomes part of the Chatsworth house collection. In 1875 the Duke gave the Copeland Factory permission to reproduce this veiled statue, and Monti re-created this bust for Copeland which became one of the most popular busts and a major work of art.

This marble bust that mounted on a socle base portrays a young lady slightly bowed her head, with a diaphanous veil falling gently over her face , and a garland of flowers on her head. This Veiled Bust statue also got the name of Statue voilee and Veiled Vestal.
